Conjecturing is central to the work of reasoning and proving. This task gives fourth and fifth graders a chance to make conjectures and prove (or disprove) them.

Hillen, ahillen@kennesaw.edu, and Tad Watanabe, twatanab@kennesaw.edu, are colleagues at Georgia's Kennesaw State University, where they teach mathematics content courses for prospective elementary school teachers.
